Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced ICU RN for a 13-week assignment requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and a CA RN license.

Details

• Work in the ICU/Tele Resource Center of an acute care hospital
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• Weekend shifts required
• No on-call responsibilities
• Float within scope to any ICU/Tele unit based on facility needs
• Uses Cerner charting system

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
• Minimum 2 years of ICU experience required, though candidates with strong experience and less tenure may be considered
• Previous travel nursing experience preferred, though candidates with strong experience may be considered
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Skilled in care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and IV therapy
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring and interpretation/management of dysrhythmias
• ICP monitoring experience preferred
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Previous charge experience preferred
• COVID vaccination status documentation required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide direct patient care in a Magnet-designated, teaching, Level II Trauma Center hospital
• Strict dress code enforced, including no facial hair, no acrylic nails, no unnatural hair colors, covered tattoos, and limited earring styles
• No specific scrub color required, but camouflage or character patterns are not permitted
• Orientation includes facility modules averaging 3-6 hours depending on specialty
• Up to 5 days of requested time off allowed, with 1 holiday approved off
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Local candidates accepted at standard bill rate
• Previous staff must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
