Senior Software Engineer

Salary: $90,000 - 130,000 per year Requirements:

• At least 6 years of full-stack software design and development experience; the posting also lists a 5-year minimum focused on React, Next.js, and .NET.
• Experience with C#, .NET, ASP.NET, TypeScript, and React; familiarity with Next.js, Vue.js, or Svelte is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud; Azure experience is preferred.
• Experience with microservices architecture and containerization tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Container Apps, or Azure Kubernetes Service; Docker and Azure deployment are listed as required.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented design, software patterns, and unit and integration testing.
• Familiarity with agile development practices and cloud computing concepts.
• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

• Design, develop, and maintain features and applications for our cloud-based commercial tax software, using technologies including React, Next.js, and .NET.
• Collaborate with distributed software development, quality assurance, project management, and product management teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in daily standups, project planning, and development estimation.
• Write quality code to build features and resolve issues, and ensure it meets performance, security, and scalability standards.
• Test software through unit and integration testing, including test automation, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Review colleagues code, provide constructive feedback, and recommend improvements.
• Keep software documentation current and comprehensive.
• Explore emerging technologies, recommend and implement suitable tools, and stay informed about industry developments.
• Coach and mentor junior software engineers and encourage knowledge sharing.
• Adapt to changing needs and work across different areas of the product.
