Staff Accountant

Job Description Job Description Ennis, Inc. is looking for a Staff Accountant at our corporate office in Midlothian, TX. Under general direction, you will perform accounting and cash management work, including maintaining and administration of daily cash activities, review of financial accounts, and reconciliations. With manufacturing facilities in multiple states, we make a wide assortment of products, from business forms to tags & labels, and high security check stock. What You Will Do: - Perform month-end closing activities. - Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts. - Daily review of cash accounts and maintenance. - Annual review and processing of 1099 forms. - Participate and support inventory processes. Including physical inventories. - Provide and review coding for banking transactions. What You Will Need: - Associate's degree in accounting or working towards. - At least one year of accounting experience. - Intermediate level Excel. - Effective communication skills both written and verbal. - The ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment. - ERP experience a plus (i.e., JD Edwards). - Ability to reconcile accounts and work with others to clear up issues. - Other duties or projects as needed.
