School Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Waterbury, CT

We're seeking a dedicated nurse to provide quality healthcare services to students in an educational setting on a contract basis. This rewarding opportunity allows you to utilize your clinical expertise while supporting a positive and engaging school environment.
Schedule Details:
- July 1-2 (Monday & Tuesday), 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- July 6-9 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- July 13-16 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- July 20-23 (Monday-Thursday), 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- July 27-28 (Monday & Tuesday), 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM
- Current, valid LPN or LVN license in Connecticut
- Previous experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting preferred
- Knowledge of common childhood illnesses, medications, and emergency care protocols
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to respond quickly and calmly in urgent situations
- Positive attitude and a genuine commitment to student well-being
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers
- Deliver first aid and emergency care to students as necessary
- Monitor ongoing health needs and maintain accurate documentation
- Collaborate effectively with educators and parents to support student health plans
- Uphold school policies and healthcare standards
