Details Work in the Medical Surgical/Telemetry unit of a large hospital setting Level I Trauma Center environment providing short term acute care Team nursing model with a 1:12 overall ratio, split to approximately 1:6-7 between RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse Night shift schedule, 4x12 hours from 19:00 to 7:00 On-call and weekend coverage required as needed Weekend block scheduling may be considered, to be discussed during interview Floating may occur between like units and campuses within a 20-mile radius Requirements Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines (TN or compact required) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg Tele experience required; 3 years preferred At least 1 completed prior travel assignment required unless candidate has 5 years of specialty experience Level I Trauma Center experience required Large hospital experience required ADN accepted for this position Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS Cerner EMR experience preferred Chemo administration and conscious sedation skills preferred IV start skills required Driver's license copy required for consideration Additional Information Utilizes a team nursing model in which caseload is shared among RNs, LPN, and Med Nurse First-time travelers are not typically accepted unless they have 5 years of specialty experience Candidates must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be considered All RTO must be submitted for consideration at time of application, as requests made after an offer will not be honored If Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's all fall within the assignment, must be willing to work 2 of the 3 holidays If only 2 of these holidays fall within the assignment, must be willing to work at least 1 of the 2 Former permanent staff or travelers must be separated from the facility for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler Vaccination status must be provided for consideration American Traveler Job ID P-729189.
