The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, dependable, and comfortable balancing purchasing, supplier communication, and operational support responsibilities while managing competing priorities.Responsibilities:Support daily purchasing and operational activities for a growing biotech organizationCommunicate with suppliers via phone and email regarding orders, deliveries, pricing, and product availabilityCreate, process, and track purchase orders while ensuring accuracy and timely follow-upCoordinate with internal teams to support inventory, procurement, and operational needsMonitor order status and proactively resolve issues related to shipments, shortages, or delaysMaintain accurate records and documentation within company systemsAssist with administrative and operational projects as neededManage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail and meeting deadlinesQualifications:1+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, operations, supply chain, customer service, or a related fieldExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environmentHighly reliable, organized, and self-motivatedAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing business needsProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and OutlookExperience working with suppliers, vendors, or inventory systems is preferredStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and collaborativelyCompensation:$28.00 - $32.00/hourContract-to-Hire opportunity based on performance and business needsHybrid work scheduleOpportunity to join an established and innovative biotech companySchedule:Hybrid ScheduleMonday-Friday 8am-5pm (some flexibility)Office is located in north county San DiegoIf you're a detail-oriented professional who enjoys balancing purchasing, supplier communication, and operations in a fast-paced environment, apply today!
