Skills Instructor, Children & Family ServicesWe seek a caring and responsible CFS Skills Instructor to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities inside their home and/or community, working with them to achieve health and quality of life.Location: On-site in family home. Positions are currently available in the following Massachusetts communities:LawrenceSchedule: 3-6 hours weekly based upon schedule agreed upon with family and supervisor.Compensation: This is a non-exempt, per diem position. The hourly rate is $21.63. You will be a union member to SEIU Local 509.Job Responsibilities:Help individuals in their day-to-day life to achieve their goals such as assisting to:Develop skills in all areas of community living, including doing household tasks and learning social skills.Behave appropriately.Be active in their community.Complete required forms on medical, behavioral and community goals from their Individual Support Plan (ISP).Assist and provide safety and personal care to individuals.Help individuals with community and recreational activities.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 1 year experience with daily life skills and personal careCandidates must be able to read, write, and comprehend English to accurately follow care plans, document services provided, and communicate effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.Valid Driver's License in good standing and a minimum of 1 year of driving requiredWaystone Health & Human Services is a 501c3, nonprofit, human services organization supporting youth and adults with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; acquired brain injuries; and mental health diagnoses.
