Pay Range: 2086.24 - 2190.55

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6:45 - 7:15, extra shifts may be available, manager will make schedule. If traveler has preferences manager is open to working with block scheduling. Weekend requirement every other- required. Night shift is Friday Saturday Sunday. Holiday rotation with regular staff. Floating is required, medsurg frequently floats to assist other units as tasker or extra set of hands.

Contract Length: 13 weeks

Candidate Type: Traveler

Requirements: BLS required, NIHSS required for all RNs and LPNS, ACLS and PALS recommended but not required. Strong medsurg background due to variety of patients. Must have experience with diverse patient types and conditions. Ability to read tele monitor strips on ICU monitors. Certification in BLS and NIHSS are required.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients on a Med/Surg unit with a variety of diagnoses including CP, CHF, pneumonia, abdominal pain, pancreatitis, ortho, detox, post-op surgery, and pediatric patients.
• Utilize Cpap and Bipap machines, along with high flow and vent management, with RT assistance.
• Follow nurse-to-patient ratios no more than 5.
• Float to assist other units as needed, adapting to various patient care situations.
• Maintain documentation and assist in patient assessments and interventions.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in unit orientation, medication training, pharmacy, and lab procedures during 3-5 days of training.
