RN - CVICU

Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shifts: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in Cardiovascular Intensive Care to join our team. The role involves floating between five hospitals as per operational needs, specifically Voorhees, Marlton, Mt. Holly, Willingboro, and OLOL. The RN will provide critical care to patients in recovery from open-heart surgery and other cardiovascular procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage patients on various cardiovascular support devices such as ECMO, LVADs, and balloon pumps.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Provide direct care to patients recovering from open-heart surgeries.
• Utilize charting systems (Epic) for patient documentation and care coordination.
• Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVICU setting.
• Experience with open heart recovery directly from the OR.
• Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state.
• Current certifications in ACLS and BLS.
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia test within 72 hours of signing the contract.
