Responsibilities
As an Appliance Repair Technician, you are the key component in providing excellent customer service by providing high-quality maintenance services for our customer’s appliances.

This list is not all inclusive:

• Diagnose and repair a wide range of household appliances, including refrigerators, washers, dryers and others
• Read and interpret schematics to understand appliance functionality and identify issues.
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to perform repairs and maintenance on appliances effectively.
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
• Operate equipment for transporting tools and equipment to job sites as necessary. Maintain such equipment in clean and working order.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service calls and maintain high-quality standards.
• Document all service calls, repairs performed, and parts used for record-keeping purposes.
• Assist in the assembly of appliances when required, ensuring proper installation according to manufacturer specifications.
• Collect payments.
• Schedule work orders.
• Maintain inventory.

You are there to accurately diagnose and solve their problem so they can get back to running an efficient household.

Getting from Diagnosis to Solution: You aren’t just there to explain what’s wrong – you also need to help the customer understand what needs to be done so that you can resolve their issues quickly.

Quality of Work: This role requires critical thinking skills and the ability to problem solve. This ensures that our customers are satisfied, and the job gets fixed correctly, the first time.

Efficiency : In order to respond to all of our customer’s needs for the day, you’ll need to be efficient with your time and the speed at which you can complete repairs.

Punctuality and Reliability: Our customers are anxiously waiting for your help! To deliver a great experience, you need to be available and show up on time.

Pride in the Details: If you keep your work vehicle clean and organized, and value attention to detail in completing customer information and reports, you’ll fit right in.

Ongoing Training: New appliances and features come out all the time, so there is a need for regular training. You aren’t afraid to research new equipment and take advantage of training opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills.

What we have to offer:

• Pay: $15-$25 per hour, estimated based on experience and qualification. This job may be paid commission only or hourly plus commission.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must pass pre employment drug screening.
• Must have current and valid Texas drivers license.
• Must have acceptable driving record.
• Must pass Criminal background checks.
• Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds regularly.
• 1 year, verifiable and job related, experience in appliance repair.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various appliance issues effectively.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Basic electrical and electronics knowledge for diagnosing electrical issues within appliances.

Preferred skills

• Experience with refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
• Commercial appliance maintenance.
• Brazing and or soldering.
• In home repair and installation service.
• In home sales experience.
• tech-savvy i.e. Use of iPad and apps to interface with management and customers.
• Microsoft 365 fluent: outlook, word, excel, PowerPoint… etc.
