JOB OVERVIEW Medication Care Manager at Sunrise Senior Living, Shrewsbury, NJ. The role enables you to use your unique skills to empower residents to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. You will build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and team members and provide care that champions quality of life in accordance with federal, state and local laws, standards, and regulations. RESPONSIBILITIES Medication Administration — Provide the highest degree of quality care by administering medication and treatments safely, documenting administrations, updating records, assisting with medication passes, and maintaining medication carts. Resident Care Communications — Notify the Resident Care Director (RCD) of resident and family concerns, participate in daily Cross‑Over meetings, aid in development of Individualized Service Plans (ISP), and collaborate on risk‑management and safety initiatives. Risk Management and General Safety — Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, practice safety procedures, report accidents and unsafe conditions, maintain infection‑control procedures, and securely store hazardous materials. Training and Team Success — Attend regular meetings, training, and engagement workshops; maintain required certifications; perform duties as assigned; and contribute to team goals. Core Competencies — Make resident‑centered decisions, stay calm under pressure, manage multiple priorities, communicate effectively, and exercise good judgment. QUALIFICATIONS High School diploma or GED, as required by state regulations. Must hold current CPR and First Aid certifications; maintain ongoing training as required by Sunrise and state regulations. Minimum 18 years of age. Preferred: prior experience working with seniors. Desire to serve and care for seniors.
