Application Developer - Cloud FullStack

- Design, develop, and implement cloud-based applications using a full-stack approach.
- Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality applications.
- Develop and maintain cloud applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), utilizing tools such as BigQuery, Hadoop, Hive, and Spark/Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver scalable solutions.
- Maintain and enhance application performance, ensuring high availability, security, and compliance with industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, providing ongoing support and system optimization.
- Work closely with the testing team to ensure applications are thoroughly tested before release.
- Document processes, configurations, and best practices for future development and reference.
- Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, and Java.
- Expertise in cloud application development with a full-stack development approach.
- Proven experience with big data technologies, specifically working with large data sets.
- Knowledge of cornerstone platform and GCP big data.
- Proficient in both backend and frontend development, including UI/UX.
- Experience with REST APIs and microservices architecture.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- At least 6 years of strong hands-on experience in cloud application development, with specific expertise in big data and GCP.
- Mandatory recent experience with American Express (Amex) on cornerstone and/or GCP big data platforms.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and delivering solutions on time and within scope.
- Proven track record of developing, testing, and deploying scalable cloud applications.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
