Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol in Greenville, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in an educational setting, you will monitor and patrol campus areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and use technology to document observations and respond to routine needs. Pay Rate: $14.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating relevant information to campus contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, maintenance concerns, policy violations, and other security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and patrol logs in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
