:

SUMMARY

Procurement of materials, products and services which includes orders, receipts and review of commodities from first tier suppliers. Ensures compliance with company policy and any applicable laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following:

• Prepares and processes requisitions and purchase orders for the procurement of materials, products and services.
• Reviews purchase order claims for discrepancies and reviews all defects and delivery problems with leadership to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
• Maintains and tracks records of purchased items, costs, deliveries, and inventories.
• Coordinates payment processing for all commodities purchased from suppliers.
• Ensures compliance with all policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Assists with negotiating rebates and review with leadership to ensure timely processing of claims.
• Assists with developing and implementing strategies for cost reduction, supplier consolidation, quality improvements and process efficiencies.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY/MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY

No supervisory/management authority.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Associate's Degree in business administration or other related field and 0-2 years of purchasing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge and understanding of business concepts, including purchasing of assets and replenishment of inventory.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn purchasing and inventory specific programs.
• Excellent verbal, written and communication skills.
• Ability to identify problems and review information to develop, evaluate, and implement solutions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office setting.
