Safety Officer

Overview The Safety Officer is a full-time, on-site position responsible for supporting a safe, compliant, and productive work environment across Liesfeld Contractor's active construction projects in the Greater Richmond area. This role serves as a visible safety presence in the field, working closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and crews to identify hazards, reinforce safe work practices, conduct inspections, provide training, and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety standards. The Safety Officer will proactively address unsafe conditions, document findings, assist with incident investigations, and help build a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement across the organization. The ideal candidate will have construction safety experience, strong communication and leadership skills, and the ability to effectively engage and influence employees at all levels. Candidates must possess OSHA 510 and/or 500 certification, a valid Virginia driver's license with a clean driving record, and be legally authorized to work in the United States.
