Lab Technician

GEODynamics in Millsap, TX is looking for qualified candidates for a LabTechnician . Our campus is on the frontage road of Interstate 20 near Millsap, TX. Located west of Fort Worth, it is an easy commute from surrounding communities of Weatherford, Stephenville, Mineral Wells and Aledo. Key Accountabilities Assist engineers in product design, development, and production. Set up and conduct high pressure testing. Conduct tests, record data, and create test reports. Maintain professional bearing and appearance. Perform daily QC testing of shaped charges. Practice safe work habits in accordance with OSHA and GEO-specific Health and Safety expectations. Qualifications, Experience, Skills / Knowledge Two-year degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing or mechanical field. Mechanical or technical certification preferred. 2 - 3 years of technical background and knowledge of tool and machine design. Engineering Lab experience and working with pressure and temperature testing a plus. Mechanical/construction work experience a plus. Basic to Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook). Light metal fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (50 pounds and over requires team lift). Familiar with “API 19B Recommended Practices for Evaluation of Well Perforators” a plus. Physical Requirements Ability to safely perform related physical demands of the role: bending, lifting, stooping, and standing greater than 50% of the time; hands/wrist/shoulder. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (over 50 pounds requires team lift). Work Environment / Environmental Conditions Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, fumes, and gases. Ability to work in extreme temperatures. Walking surfaces: Outdoor areas, ramps and rough/uneven terrain.
