Lab Technician (1st Shift)

Workwear Outfitters, a leading supplier of work apparel and footwear, is seeking a Lab Technician to support its quality assurance efforts. Responsibilities Prepare and test fabric, garment, and trim samples to verify compliance with quality and performance standards. Conduct tests such as flammability, durability, dimensional stability, wash testing, and other performance evaluations. Analyze test results, document findings accurately, and support continuous improvement within the lab. Manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize requests from internal teams. Communicate test outcomes and issues to relevant stakeholders. Perform garment audits, support root‑cause analysis, and assist with corrective actions for product issues. Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance lab processes and efficiencies. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude, including experience with laboratory equipment and machinery. Basic math skills and strong computer literacy. Basic to intermediate proficiency in Excel. Strong problem‑solving and communication abilities. Team‑oriented mindset. Nice to Have Experience with textiles, garment manufacturing, or lab testing. Familiarity with industrial laundering or quality testing environments. Additional Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass a color vision test.
