This employee performs equipment setups in a timely and professional manner. Generally responsible for the setup of highlytechnical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and CPAP units Also responsible for providing technicalassistance with equipment Incumbent may perform setup of all types of oxygen equipment as well JOB FUNCTIONS Provides patient education as an intricate part of the patient care activity according to the patient need andLincare policy, frequently in patients' homes Requires use of a personal vehicle with a valid driver's license Performs complete and professional patient assessments in accordance with Lincare policies and procedures Maintains current knowledge of respiratory homecare techniques and relevant respiratory therapy concepts Follows applicable policies and procedures of the Safety & Regulatory Manual regarding General Safety, OSHA(includes the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment), DOT (driving safety), FDA, and Emergency Planning Represents Lincare through professional personal appearance, patient care activities, and content of writtenreports Maintains patient records in complete and organized manner in compliance with accreditation standards Works on-call evenings and weekends on an as scheduled basis Frequency is determined by the center size andthe number of employees available to share in the responsibility Must respond in a timely manner Qualifications. Work Experience Level 1 - Familiar with equipment and services provided in the home healthcaresetting, or other patient care, Required Level 2 - Minimum of two years in home healthcare, Required Level 3 - Minimum of three years in home healthcare May be involvedin training of other Healthcare Specialists, Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities excellent human relations to interface with doctors, other referral sources, andpatients clinician authorized within scope of practice (as established by applicable state lawor if none, by the applicable national board) to provide all patient care services offered by Lincarefrom time to time Subject to state law/regulation, RNs, LPNs, LVNs, paramedics, EMTs, and other clinicians may alsobe qualified for this position If applicable, based on the requirements of state, in addition to avalid state license, current National Board of Respiratory Care Credentials may also be required for CRTs and RRTs. Subject to State requirements and management approval, on an exception basis, a person may be hired that does not meet all the above certifications and training, but practices respiratory therapy as authorized by applicable state law Licenses and Certifications Must have completed all training/educationrequired to obtain requisite certification,registration, and/or license described below,Required Must remain certified, registered, orlicensed by the applicable state and/or national board governing clinicalpractice or as otherwise permitted by law In all states, CRTs and RRTs are qualifiedfor this position,Required Lincare offers employees a variety of competitive benefits that include ongoing training and advancement opportunities.
