Your Role \n
\n
\nThis intermediate level Microbiology Lab Quality Control Technician is responsible for bacterial retention testing of biopharmaceutical filtration membranes and devices with a focus on maximizing safety, quality, and productivity. You will support intermediate level testing operations through basic troubleshooting on set-ups and retention testing processes. You will need a basic level of knowledge of the Laboratory Information Management System. \n

\nD Shift Friday- Sunday 6am-6pm\n
\n
\nDuties Include:\n
\n

\n
• Test products safely and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, Quality and Safety Specifications and GMP standards.
\n
• Safely set up and operate quality lab test equipment and monitor required inputs and outputs.
\n
• Support quality lab operations and projects under the supervision of senior technicians.
\n
• Accurately complete documentation per GMP standards.
\n
• Initiate and participate in Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
\n
• Assist with execution of protocols, qualifications, and validations.
\n
• Develop skills to independently perform Bacterial Retention Testing.
\n
• Ensure a clean and orderly workspace.
\n
• Proactive identification of safety, quality, and productivity concerns. Actively report hazardous conditions or hazardous behaviors observed in the work center and the site.
\n
• Perform basic level troubleshooting and set-ups.
\n
• Review and verify test and process data. Ensure accurate entry of data into the Laboratory Information Management System.
\n
• Participate in sustainability efforts.
\n
• Works under close supervision.
\n

\nPhysical requirements:\n
\n
\n

\n
• Exposure to machinery and equipment, chemical reagents, biological materials at Biosafety Levels 1 and 2, in a laboratory environment.
\n
• 100% Standing and/or sitting for duration of shift, up to 12 hours.
\n
• Frequent lifting of 20 - 30 lbs. necessary/Max lifting - 40 to 50 lbs.
\n
• Bend and twist as needed.
\n
• Grasp, manipulate and handle objects consistently and regularly, Fine motor skills are required.
\n

Who You Are \n
\n
Minimum Qualifications \n
\n

\n
• 1+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
\n
• High school diploma or GED.
\n

\n
\n
Preferred Qualifications \n
\n

\n
• Associates Degree in any Life Science discipline.
\n
• 2+ years of laboratory or cGMP manufacturing experience.
\n
• Aseptic laboratory experience.
\n
• Knowledge of EHS, ISO, cGMP, and other manufacturing regulatory requirements.
\n
• Computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
\n
• Reliable and self-motivated.
\n
• Read, follow and understand test methods, operating procedures, and related documentation.
\n

\nPay Range for this position: $19 -$30 per hour\n
\n
\nThe offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors.
