Wound Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Wound Nurse to join our team at Autumn Lake Healthcare at Patuxent River, a state-of-the-art nursing center located just minutes from the University of Maryland Laurel Medical Center. As a Wound Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality wound care services to our residents, ensuring they receive the best possible outcomes and improved quality of life.

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate wound care treatment plans for residents with complex wounds

• Conduct regular wound assessments and document findings accurately and thoroughly

• Develop and implement individualized wound care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary care team

• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on wound care techniques and prevention strategies

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to optimize wound care outcomes

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of wound care treatments and resident progress

Requirements:

• Current RN license in the state of Maryland

• 1+ year of experience as a Wound Nurse or in a similar role

• Strong knowledge of wound care principles and practices

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
