Registered Nurse - CVICU

CVICU RN Opportunity

Seeking an experienced RN for the CVICU to provide specialized care for cardiac and neuro patients in a teaching hospital setting. This position offers a dynamic environment with the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team and advance clinical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver acute care to cardiac and neuro patients in the CVICU environment.
• Utilize EPIC charting systems effectively, including completing required modules prior to start.
• Float within scope across three hospital campuses to meet facility staffing needs.
• Complete all pre-arrival requirements, including time-sensitive modules and certifications.
• Adhere to hospital policies, including nicotine-free and smoking-free protocols.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Require at least 18 months of ICU experience; 2 years preferred, with specific experience in cardiac and neuro care.
• Hold current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications at the time of submission.
• Certification in NIHSS or ability to obtain prior to start date.
• Proficient in Epic electronic charting, preferably at a level 3 or 4.
• Able to pass NICOTINE and drug screenings, including 10-panel and cotinine tests.
• Maintain compliant with travel and RTO policies; references from direct supervisors required.
