Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Blood and Marrow Transplant Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour; Day 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience in Blood and Marrow Transplant/Hematology and chemotherapy administration. Candidates with 1.5 years of experience may be considered. License: Active RN license Certifications: AHA BLS, ONS/ONCC chemotherapy certification Must-Have: Experience working in environments with flexible staffing ratios Description: The Registered Nurse will provide care for patients with blood cancers. The role includes administering chemotherapy and biotherapies as well as cellular therapies such as stem cell transplants and CAR-T. The Nurse will monitor patients for side effects and manage complications. Candidates must be comfortable with nurse-to-patient ratios of 3-4:1. There may be floating to similar units based on facility needs. Weekend shifts are required as per unit needs. First-time travelers are accepted as long as they meet the required experience. Candidates should possess skills in administering blood products and managing central lines. The environment requires handling of cytotoxic spills and monitoring for critical lab values. Interdisciplinary support will be available for patient care. The unit consists of a total of 51 beds. Flexibility and adaptability are important for this position. Compliance with facility-specific modules is required. Completion of necessary training and education for the role is essential.
