Corporate Accounting Senior Manager - Corporate Accounting Director

Position Overview Senior Manager/Director, Corporate Accounting. This critical role provides accounting support and reporting to indirect support functions, delivering execution of month‑end close, forecast and budget support, and ad-hoc accounting requests to executive‑level management. The Senior Manager/Director will lead the Corporate Accounting group, managing complex accounting processes for stock‑based compensation, bonuses, debt, investments, derivatives, legal/environmental reserves, pensions, retirement programs, and insurance. Job Duties Ensure compliance with applicable U.S. GAAP and SEC regulations. Ensure compliance with SOX controls over corporate accounting. Collaborate with cross‑functional groups (BD, HR, HSE, IT, Real Estate, Tax, Treasury, Legal) to deliver accurate and timely reporting for executive and upper‑level management. Manage month‑end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial results for indirect support functions and corporate accounting processes as well as forecast and budget support. Review and approve monthly balance sheet reconciliations. Perform critical analysis, develop refined methodologies and improved accounting practices to ensure accuracy of accruals and month‑end results. Identify and support the ongoing enhancement and continuous improvement of reporting systems and tools. Manage, mentor, and develop corporate accounting team members. Qualifications Undergraduate degree in accounting, business, or related field; minimum of ten (10) years of experience in accounting-related roles. Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing large teams preferred. Previous public‑accounting experience preferred. CPA preferred. Willingness to work overtime during month‑end close to meet deadlines. Ability to work well in a fast‑paced environment to produce accurate results. Ability to work independently under general guidance. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro. Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP. Skills Self‑starter. Strong leadership skills and ability to work well in a team environment. Solid attention to detail, highly organized, and great time‑management skills. Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to collaborate successfully with team members and others in the organization. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. A Plus, But Not Required Large or global company experience. HFM/SAP/Essbase knowledge.
