Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Summary:
This role involves providing specialized perioperative nursing care within the operating room. The RN will support surgical staff, ensure patient safety, and maintain sterile environments during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with surgical teams to prepare the OR and ensure all equipment is sterile and functioning properly.
• Monitor and assess patient vitals throughout procedures, responding quickly to any changes.
• Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist or surgeon.
• Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
• Document patient care activities accurately in medical records.
• Provide post-operative care instructions and support patient recovery activities.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting.
• Valid RN license with current state licensure.
• Certification in BLS and ACLS through AHA required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including on-call and holiday shifts.
• Strong surgical nursing skills with proficiency in sterile techniques.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
