Account Manager - focused on Software Sales

We are looking for an Account Executive / Account Manager based in Chicago (U.S. citizens or green card holders only). The role focuses 70% outside sales and 30% inside sales, with no commission cap, requiring a hunter‑type mindset. The client is a leading provider of MES and Manufacturing Integration Platform (MIP) software that supports manufacturing companies worldwide. With over 520 professionals across 13 locations, the company serves more than 1,100,000 users in 1,750 manufacturing companies and is at the forefront of the Smart Factory Revolution. Key Responsibilities Lead sales efforts to the mid‑market manufacturing sector. Build a sales plan to provide integrated software and service solutions to meet prospect and existing customer needs as a strategic business partner. Drive all aspects of the sales cycle, including proposals, scoping, pricing and contract negotiations. Develop proven metrics and reporting to drive the team to achieve success with current and prospective customers. Qualifications Experience as an account executive with an ERP or MES software firm (must have). Large‑scale implementation project sales experience with consulting services firms such as Cognizant, IBM Global Services, Accenture, PwC, EY, etc. is favorable. Business‑to‑business sales experience in the manufacturing space, with a track record of prospecting, relationship management and closing complex deals for consulting‑intense software solutions.
