Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Welder role based in Decatur, TX. The Welder will interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings, set up welding equipment, and perform welding operations to build, repair, and modify metal containers and related structures. Daily responsibilities include preparing and measuring materials, performing MIG, and arc welding as appropriate, and inspecting welds for quality and safety. The role also involves grinding, cutting, and fitting components, maintaining a clean and safe work area, and performing routine equipment checks and basic maintenance. The Welder will collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality standards while following all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Proficiency in core welding processes, including Welding, Arc Welding, and MIG Welding. Experience working with various Materials (e.g., steel, aluminum) and understanding of material properties in welding applications. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols, with strong measurement and fabrication skills. Knowledge of shop safety practices, including PPE use, safe equipment operation, and hazard recognition. Attention to detail with the ability to produce consistent, structurally sound welds and perform visual inspections. Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift materials, and work in a manufacturing or shop environment. Previous welding experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or fabrication setting preferred; certifications (e.g., AWS) are a plus.
