About the Position

Job Title

Respiratory Therapist – Travel Contract (Acute Care)

Kennewick, WA | Acute Care

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Night Shift (6:30 PM – 6:00 AM) | Expected 36 hours/week | Weekend hours required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory therapy services across ICU, MedSurg, NICU, and ED units within an acute care setting
• Respond to codes and emergencies across all patient populations, including neonates through adults
• Operate and manage ventilator equipment including PB980, EV300, and Airvo devices
• Deliver age-appropriate respiratory care to a diverse patient population in a Trauma Level II facility
• Work within the Cardiopulmonary department, adapting to variable patient ratios as needed
• Maintain active ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications throughout the assignment

Required Qualifications

• Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Respiratory Therapy required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Active Washington State Respiratory Therapy license required at time of submittal
• Current ACLS, PALS, NRP, and BLS certifications required
• Minimum 2+ years of respiratory therapy experience
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this travel position

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in ICU and/or NICU settings strongly preferred
• Demonstrated competency with neonatal through adult patient populations
• Familiarity with high-acuity respiratory cases in a teaching hospital environment
