Clinical Sitter

Position Overview United Health Services is hiring Clinical Sitters to join our team. The Clinical Sitter works under the direct supervision of an RN, providing close observation of patients and maintaining the patient care and unit environment consistent with the policies, procedures and practices of the Nursing Division and United Health Services. The role includes assistance with activities of daily living and companionship. Shift and schedule details: Part‑time, benefit eligible with multiple shifts available including 32 hours weekly, Day Rotational Shift 24 hours weekly, and Night Shift. Locations UHS Wilson Medical Center, Johnson City, NY UHS Binghamton General Hospital, Binghamton, NY Compensation Range: $16.00 – $20.16 per hour, depending on experience. Benefit eligibility applies to those hired into a regular position with at least 24 scheduled weekly hours. Responsibilities Provide companionship and basic patient care, including activities of daily living and personal needs. Maintain a safe environment and respect the patient’s privacy and dignity. Communicate and demonstrate respect for patients, families, and other health care members. Observe and accurately record data collected; notify RN of behavioral changes in condition and/or behavior. Demonstrate behavior appropriate to keeping patients relaxed. Maintain privacy and security of all confidential and protected health information. Communicate regularly with the RN about patient condition according to unit standards. Comply with organizational and departmental ergonomic and safety principles while performing all work‑related activities. Education / Experience Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
