WM Supercenter #1959 470 Route 211 E Middletown, NY 10940-2245 Position Summary Drives sales in the Vision Center by ensuring effective merchandise presentation, accurate and competitive pricing, proper signing, and in‑stock inventory levels. Oversees budgeting, forecasting, and assessment of economic trends and community needs. Provides direction and guidance to Associates on proper Customer‑Member service approaches and techniques, ensuring complaints and issues are resolved within company guidelines. Manages community outreach programs and encourages Associates to serve as community members. Ensures compliance with company, legal policies, procedures, and regulations by analyzing reports and implementing asset protection and safety controls. Conducts safety, operational, and quality assurance reviews, develops and implements action plans to improve performance, and directs Vision Center Associates in maintaining confidentiality of information. Provides supervision, development, training, and mentoring, and fosters a workplace of belonging. Ensures high‑quality eyewear delivery by consulting with members, educating them, taking measurements, verifying prescriptions, and maintaining optical equipment. Upholds the Company’s Open Door Policy by meeting with Associates, listening to concerns, researching issues, reviewing policies, and suggesting resolutions. Coordinates job‑related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders. Acts with integrity, promotes the highest standards of ethics and compliance, and supports Walmart’s goal of becoming a regenerative company. Serves customers and members by delivering results while focusing on customer needs and applying the EDLP and EDLC business models. Makes decisions based on data insights, balances short‑ and long‑term priorities, and considers all stakeholders. Drives continuous improvements, adopts new technologies, and supports team change. Minimum Qualifications Completion of 2 or more years of college OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience OR 2 years’ general work experience, including 1 year’s optical experience. High school diploma or equivalent. Current eligibility to work as an optician or apprentice optician under applicable state laws, regulations, and rules. Preferred Qualifications Experience supervising Associates.
