About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Organizational Advancement to play a pivotal role in driving the organization's growth, diversifying its revenue streams, and enhancing its external presence and influence. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing strategies that align with the company's values and long-term goals, with a focus on business development, philanthropy, marketing, and external affairs. This executive leader will work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to enhance the organization's visibility, cultivate relationships with various stakeholders, and ensure active engagement in relevant conversations within the human services and justice sectors. The role demands a visionary leader with a relational, strengths-based approach, capable of leading a high-performing team and fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous quality improvement. Applicants for the Vice President of Organizational Advancement position at the company should hold a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and have at least 7 years of leadership experience in nonprofit growth, advancement, business development, or external affairs. The role requires a proven track record in securing government contracts, grants, and philanthropic donations, as well as established relationships within the human services, criminal and juvenile justice, or child welfare systems. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication, networking, and strategic thinking skills, and be adept at leading multiple, complex initiatives to drive results. A key aspect of the role is people leadership, including the ability to develop and manage a team, and to serve as a key representative of the organization with various stakeholders.
