Activity Assistant Job Summary Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, a leading provider of senior care services, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Activity Assistant to join our team in East Moline, Illinois. As an Activity Assistant, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and engaging environment for our residents, fostering their physical, emotional, and social well-being. Responsibilities Assist with planning, coordinating, and implementing activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents, including social events, recreational activities, and therapeutic programs Encourage resident participation and engagement in activities, promoting socialization, exercise, and mental stimulation Develop and maintain relationships with residents, families, and staff, providing exceptional customer service and support Assist with daily living tasks, such as escorting residents to meals, activities, and appointments, and providing general assistance with daily routines Collaborate with the Activity Director and other team members to achieve activity program goals and objectives Maintain accurate records and reports of resident activities, progress, and feedback Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in recreation, gerontology, or a related field preferred Prior experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting; 0 years of experience minimum Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies up to 25 pounds Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Compassionate and patient demeanor, with a commitment to providing exceptional care and support About Us At Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care and services to our residents, while fostering a positive and supportive work environment for our employees.
