As an Armed Security Officer at an educational location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. This driving post requires an armed guard card or license and a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, and represent Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, teamwork, caring, innovation, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with campus personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and campus activity, report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations, and complete required incident documentation.
• Maintain a professional presence while following applicable laws, licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies for armed assignments.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least two years of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
