Description Description Recreation Therapist - $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year to start. Responsibilities Ability to work remotely in assigned location / region; Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities / regions to meet with clients and provide services; Experience in assessment and observational skills; Experience planning and implementing TR interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle; Experience researching and applying evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation; Design TR protocols, session plans and processes; Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level; Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality BENEFITS: Health Insurance, FSA, HSA, 401k, Employee Assistance Program, Tuition Advancement, Professional Development. Requirements Talents, skills, and abilities: A bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation which meets the standards of NCTRC. Completion of a NCTRC approved internship. CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or the ability to obtain national certification of CTRS within one year of hire.
