Line Cook with Management Responsibilities

Job Description

Seeking a mature, reliable and well-rounded food service professional with leadership qualities.

This full-time position includes duties as a working line cook and as a manager, including all aspects of the business, front and back of house. This is a great position for a skilled cook who has some management experience and would like to learn and grow in that career.

The job description includes:

Active line cooking and prep.
Inventorying and ordering food and supplies.
Receiving and stock organization (fridges, freezer, dry storage, etc).
Timely ongoing communication with owner and staff.
Leading the team in welcoming and serving guests in a friendly professional manner.
Stepping in sometimes to serve guests, including use of the POS system.
Training and developing new staff members. Scheduling and guiding FOH and BOH staff.
Enforcing company policies.
Resolving customer and staff issues with respect, fairness and tact.
Safe handling of food and beverages, and maintaining sanitation standards throughout the operation.
Taking a proprietary interest in growing the business to expand menu offerings and service.

The base pay is competitive, plus there is potential for goal-based bonuses.

Availability is required on weekends and holidays. Hours are 7am-3pm, Breakfast Brunch and Lunch. No nights.
