Opening date: July 14, 2026 Closing date: July 28, 2026 Title: ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR 3 Employee Type: Staff- Classified Department: Residence Hall Campus Location: STUDENT RESIDENCE HALL Job Summary / Basic Functions To perform a variety of clerical duties that requires some independent judgment to accomplish in support of the staff members and/or operations of an organizational unit or program. Employees follow detailed procedural guidelines in completing well-defined duties. Under minimal supervision from the Director of Housing and Hospitality, the incumbent will perform purchasing and administrative responsibilities at the advanced journeyman level for student housing in the Residence Hall on the LSU Health Sciences Center's campus. Other Information About the Position LSU Health New Orleans Division of Auxiliary Enterprises/Residence Hall is seeking motivated individuals for the title of Administrative Coordinator 3. Starting rate is $13.77 per hour but may be increased dependent upon applicants’ qualifications. There is also an additional $1 Longevity Pay for hours worked only. Following Policies and Procedures: The ability to comply with policies and procedures of the organization as well as State Civil Service rules, and all applicable federal and state laws. Duties and Responsibilities Incumbent is the initial point of contact for visitors and callers to the Student Housing Office and is independently responsible for determining how best to meet their needs. Prepares and processes lease agreements, orientation materials and sorts disseminates incoming and outgoing mail Collaborates with the Coordinator of Residence Life with the arrival and departure of Student Housing tenants and affiliate tenants. Issues maintenance requests for tenants and assists with tenant complaints, lock outs and tenant emergency situations. Makes periodic inspections of Resident Hall floors in order to monitor visitors and dormitory residents abide by the stated policies. Accompanies internal and external safety inspectors on building inspections in addition to accompanying vendors or maintenance staff for preventative maintenance issues within the building. Coordinates and receives deliveries from vendors. May be assigned cashier or other administrative duties within auxiliaries due to staff shortage or other emergencies. Minimum Qualifications Number of years required to perform the job: 2 Type of experience required to perform the job: clerical work was a major duty Substitution: Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience. Special Instructions Summary Appointment type: Probational Location: 1901 Perdido St. New Orleans LA 70112 Hours of Operations: 7:00 am - 3:30pm Monday - Friday This is a Civil Service Position. Pre-employment Drug testing and Criminal Background check are required. This position will require selected applicant to be in a probationary status for at least 6 months.
