BESS Commissioning Manager

Responsibilities: Conduct plant testing, performance testing, ISO/GIA/PPA Testing and startup of a Battery Energy Storage System and Solar Coupled Power systems Oversee aspects of the energy storage system including compliance, status reporting, safety, startup, commissioning, and testing Manage and report on commissioning and performance testing work performed by contractors and/or vendors at the project site Support PPA Testing with Customer Support GIA Testing with TO Support ISO testing Requirements Battery Energy Storage Systems installation and startup Must have a thorough understanding of the technical, performance, and integration of Li-Ion batteries as part of ESS Commissioning process creation Understanding of containerized systems, skids, controllers/SCADA, transformers, combiners Thorough understanding of DC systems (0-2,000Vdc) and AC systems (480V-34.5kV) Experience with control and SCADA systems and troubleshooting Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in Battery Energy Storage Systems installation, startup, and performance testing, with a strong focus on compliance, safety, and integration of Li-Ion batteries. Proficient in managing commissioning processes and understanding complex electrical systems, including DC and AC configurations.
