Known for innovation, diversification, and excellent financial performance./ppPosition Summary: Set up and operate machines to produce high quality fasteners while meeting on-time delivery, productivity, safety, quality, and housekeeping metrics. Usual manufacturing environment and moderate physical activity./ppEssential Functions:/pulliSet up, adjust, and operate high speed low speed machines/liliSet up, adjust, and operate auxiliary equipment to perform operations on a machine or multiple of machines and equipment with close dimensions, shape, and contour/liliAlign and secure dies, locate stops, adjust forming speeds, part forming rolls or dies, safety devices, etc./liliInstall tools and other tooling needed and adjust as needed/liliWork from drawings, manufacturing instructions and control plans./liliUse a variety of precision measuring instruments./liliMay operate multiple machines or machines capable of performing multiple operations./liliLoad raw materials to feeder mechanisms, clear jams, or other malfunctions./liliTrain/learn how to set-up/operate equipment./liliSafety, Responsible for working safely. Recommend changes to processes and equipment to improve safety/efficiency. (Safety program initiative)/liliProductivity. (Metric boards-analyze, communicate pcs/hr, changes and improvements)/liliPosition should work with minimal supervision./liliOther duties/projects as assigned./liliAbility to safely manipulate materials weighing 75# and measuring.625 rod, requiring full-body coordination, leverage, and control./liliRequires sufficient body strength, reach, and leverage to manipulate and position materials without assistance or mechanical aids./li/ulpQualifications Required Skill, Education and Experience:/pulliBasic reading/writing/math skills/liliMechanical ability and knowledge of tools and machinery/liliAbility to focus and prioritize task and objectives./liliGood communication skills./li/ulpCompensation Information: Starting pay begins at $24 per hour. Experienced candidates may qualify for higher starting rates.
