SUMMARY

Lead the coordination of monitoring, evaluation and management of Incident Response Department vehicles and equipment including performing field inspections, troubleshooting, facilitating equipment repair, ensuring proper recording keeping and providing related training.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate and perform field inspections on equipment, verification of required maintenance, vehicle records and inventory. Develop and maintain troubleshooting processes on various vehicle issues and evaluating repair options. Ensure current and accurate maintenance records, including maintenance and repair documentation, are kept on all vehicles and equipment by the fleet team. Find, assess, and resolve reoccurring equipment issues related to equipment or operators, making recommendations to prevent future issues to include training, maintenance and/or ordering of fleet. Conduct equipment and vehicle related training. Evaluate and prioritize fleet and equipment replacement. Serve as unit instructor for transport operations courses. Initiate, prepare and maintain a variety narrative and statistical reports, records, and files related to TFS vehicles Support and participate in emergency response.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma/GED Experience / Knowledge / Skills: Six years of related experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Ability to: Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose equipment problems. Ability to conduct training classes; ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others and strong interpersonal skills. Licensing/Professional Certifications: Valid Texas Driver’s License (Commercial Class B) Physical Requirements: None Other Requirements: None

CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE COMPETENCY

Ability to maintain the security and integrity of critical infrastructure, which may include communications systems, computer networks and systems, cybersecurity systems, electrical grid, hazardous waste treatment system or water treatment system.
