Catering Lead (Full-Time) - Eataly Chicago

The Catering Lead plans, organizes and executes the catering business for Eataly Chicago. Reports to the Private Dining Manager.

• Creates proposals, contracts, event orders and packages tailored to each guest’s requests
• Negotiates executive partnerships to sell catering packages for breakfast, lunch, dinner and largescale events
• Oversees catering events from start to finish: books, plans and executes functions
• Executes all off-site catering for offices and VIP clients, coordinating delivery services and pickup business
• Acts as a trainer for team members on catering operations
• Communicates product and staffing needs for catering events on a daily basis
• Manages catering call-backs from orders delivered same day to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
• Handles and resolves complaints/accolades and communicates results to managers
• Ensures catering collateral is displayed and stocked in the store at all times: catering menus, catering table, business cards, etc.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in catering/sales management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask in a fluid environment, working cross-functionally with different departments
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred

• Availability to work a flexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidays
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to exert well-paced mobility for up to 8 hours, including standing, walking, bending and squatting

Compensation

• Compensation for this role is $22.00-$24.00 hourly
