Account Manager, K-12

IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking Account Managers to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for K-12 education, account management, and customer success. In this role, you will be developing relationships with school administrators across the US to ensure satisfaction throughout the customer life cycle. You will handle subscription renewals, upselling, customer retention efforts, and engagement activities in your assigned territory focusing on smaller customer accounts. To be successful in this role, you are proactive, extremely well organized, efficient and very personable with strong communication skills, especially written/email communication. As an Account Manager you must have the ability to handle multiple transactions effectively and efficiently with a customer-service mindset. This position is about efficiency and execution. We are looking for a quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is self-motivated with outstanding people skills and integrity. You must have internal collaboration skills to work with your account management colleagues, lead, and field/inside sales teams. It is also important to work effectively with marketing to run ongoing engagement campaigns. This position requires you to be in our Raleigh, NC, area office. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOINGManaging approximately 300-500 small customer accounts on average (under 1000 students)Proactive outreach to customers with expiring subscriptions through phone, video, email and targeted campaigns to secure subscription renewal in your assigned territoryBuild and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to ensure customer engagement throughout the life of the subscriptionDevelop a deep understanding of IXL’s products and what sets us apart from competing programsDevelop a keen understanding of customer needs and values in order to provide the best in class customer experience and maximize product usage and engagementEffectively communicate new product enhancements and benefits to existing customers virtuallyConduct regular territory review meetings with internal stakeholders to communicate general territory health, trends, including changes to strategic directionAccurately track all customer-related activities, communication, and opportunities in Salesforce.comGather customer feedback to help improve and enhance product offeringsWHAT WE'RE LOOKING FORBA/BS Degree requiredAbility to learn and be an expert on the IXL and related platformsClassroom experience and/or related educational field experience of 2+ years preferredAccount Management/Customer Service experience a plusExceptional communication skills - verbal and writtenPresentation skills Comfortable with technology and passionate about bringing technology into the classroomEnergetic self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced team environmentDetail-oriented and exceptionally organizedExceptional critical thinking, research, and problem-solving skillsMS Office, Google Suite computer skills.
