Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity offers a role as a clinical pharmacist at a critical access hospital located in Angel Fire, NM, near Taos. The hospital serves a maximum of 25 patients, providing a focused and collaborative healthcare environment. This contract position requires daytime availability with a schedule of three 12-hour shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM, extending for a minimum of 13 weeks.
Responsibilities include order verification, supervising pharmacy technicians, consulting with physicians and nurses, and managing pharmacokinetics to ensure safe and effective medication use. This role is essential in maintaining high-quality patient care in a small hospital setting.
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist in New Mexico or eligible to obtain a temporary NM license
- Minimum of two years’ inpatient pharmacy experience
- Strong clinical skills in medication therapy management and patient consultation
- Ability to supervise and collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals
