Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Associate

Shift/Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am- 5:00 pm
Pay Rate: $23.00-$24.00/hr   or Based on Experience
Location: Morgan Hill, CA
Experience: At least 1-3 years of international shipping and inventory management experience 

We are excited to share a new opportunity for a Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Associate located in Morgan Hill ! This position is highly sought after and might not be available for long. 

Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Associate Job Duties Include:

Receiving & Shipping

• Incoming Goods: Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments for accuracy and damage; document details in the system and coordinate with vendors to resolve delivery issues (shortages, damages, or discrepancies).
• Outgoing Orders: Package and prepare outgoing orders according to customer specifications; generate shipping labels, invoices, and documentation, and coordinate with logistics carriers for timely pickups.
• International Shipping, Customs, Tariffs, International Shipping Codes.
• Warehouse & Logistics: Organize stock to maximize space and access; maintain cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations across all shipping/receiving areas.

Inventory Control & Loss Prevention

• Stock Tracking: Maintain precise inventory records, execute regular cycle counts/audits, reconcile system data with physical counts, and adjust reorder thresholds to prevent stockouts or overstock.
• Data & Discrepancies: Track internal material movements and transfers; investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies to minimize loss due to theft, damage, or misplacement.
• Process Improvement: Analyze inventory metrics (turnover, valuation, errors) and recommend process refinements to reduce costs and boost workflow efficiency.

Work Order Management

• Creation & Scheduling: Create, issue, assign, and track work orders for maintenance, production, or repairs; schedule work to minimize downtime and optimize resource use.
• Materials & Documentation: Identify and assign necessary tools, parts, and materials for each work order; record completion details, labor hours, and parts used to keep system records accurate.
• Other duties as assigned.

Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Associate Preferred Skills Include:

• Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field; formal coursework in warehousing/logistics is a plus.
• At least 1-3 years of international shipping and inventory management experience

Advanced Technical Skills:

• Deep familiarity with ERP systems, specialized Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), and work order/maintenance software.
• Knowledge of international shipping methods, customs documentation, and trade regulations (if applicable).

Analytical & Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of identifying workflow bottlenecks.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and enforce inventory security/safety standards.

Shipping and Receiving/Inventory Associate Requirements Include: 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 2–5 years of hands-on experience in shipping, receiving, inventory control, warehouse operations, or work order management.
• Software & Systems: Proficiency in inventory management and shipping software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, WMS).

Core Skills:

• Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Basic math skills for tracking, counts, and record-keeping.
• Strong communication skills to coordinate across warehouse, purchasing, and logistics teams.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift, move, and stack heavy inventory items as needed.
• Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical labor for prolonged periods.
• Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen 
• Must provide 3 professional references
