Associate Customer Technical Program Manager - Vehicle OS

We are an in-office company, and our expectation is that full-time employees primarily work from their Applied Intuition office 5 days a week. However, we also recognize the importance of flexibility and trust our employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work, starting the day with morning meetings from home before heading to the office, or leaving earlier when needed to accommodate family commitments. About the role

Applied Intuition is scaling its Vehicle OS customer program team to support a growing portfolio of in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) programs with a major global automotive OEM. We are looking for an Associate Customer Technical Program Manager to run the day-to-day execution layer of these programs - keeping scope, defects, dependencies, and delivery reporting accurate, and working directly with the customer’s program and engineering counterparts.

This is an early-career role for someone who wants to grow into full program ownership. You will work alongside and report to a Customer Technical Program Manager, owning defined workstreams - release scope tracking, defect and blocker management, requirements traceability, and recurring reporting - with increasing autonomy over time. You will be in customer meetings from your first week, and the quality of your tracking is what the program’s reporting is built on.

At Applied Intuition, you will:

• Own the day-to-day health of the program backlog in Jira: translate customer requirements and change requests into well-formed, tracked tickets; maintain labels, scope tags, and release assignments; keep status, blockers, and blocked reasons accurate and current

• Run defect and blocker management for the program - triage customer-reported issues, drive severity alignment, chase resolution across engineering teams, and prepare the recurring bug review with the customer

• Track release scope and milestone readiness against the program plan, surfacing slips, at-risk features, and open dependencies early enough for someone to do something about them

• Produce recurring program reporting: weekly status, delivery and story-point summaries, escalation trackers, sprint showcase material, and steering committee inputs

• Serve as a working-level point of contact for the customer’s program and engineering counterparts on ticket status, scope questions, and dependency follow-ups

• Maintain the program’s source of truth in Confluence - requirement-to-feature mappings, delivery trackers, decision logs, meeting notes, and the process documentation the rest of the team relies on

• Support onsite integration, test bench, and bootcamp activities by coordinating schedules, logistics, and follow-ups across Applied and customer teams

• Close loops: follow up across Slack, email, and standups until open questions are answered and commitments are written down somewhere durable

• Look for the leverage - automate the reporting, grooming, and analysis work that would otherwise eat the week, so the program team spends its time on judgment calls instead of copy-paste

We're looking for someone who has:

• 1–3 years of experience in program or project management, engineering, technical consulting, or another technical customer-facing role. Strong new graduates with relevant internship experience will be considered

• Excellent written communication, and the judgment to know when to escalate versus resolve something independently

• Comfort working directly with an external customer - including in the meetings where the news is not good

• Strong organizational instincts: you keep your own trackers, you notice when a thread has gone quiet, and you close things out without being chased

• Enough technical literacy to follow engineering discussions about software features, builds, releases, and integration issues — and to ask the clarifying question that unblocks them

• Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence, or the demonstrated ability to get fluent fast

• Willingness to work across time zones with globally distributed engineering and customer teams

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in STEM or a related field.

Nice to have:

• Experience in the automotive industry, ideally at an OEM or Tier-1 supplier

• Exposure to IVI, infotainment, Android Automotive (AAOS), or embedded software programs

• Familiarity with automotive development standards and processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262, AUTOSAR)

• Data fluency to turn ticket data into reporting - JQL, spreadsheets, SQL, or light Python

• Experience using AI tooling to automate reporting, ticket grooming, and analysis workflows

• Experience supporting a customer-facing program governed by a Statement of Work, with defined milestones and deliverables

• Additional languages (German, French, Italian, or Spanish)
