Tax Accountant
LaSalle Network is hiring for a confidential client seeking a Tax Accountant to join a growing public accounting firm in Chicago. This is a direct-hire opportunity for a tax professional who wants more than a siloed role. You'll work directly alongside firm ownership, gain broad tax experience and have a clear path toward future leadership and potential partnership.
What's the job?
- Prepare and review individual, partnership, S-Corp, corporate, trust and estate tax returns
- Work directly with clients to gather information, answer questions and communicate tax-related matters
- Support tax engagements across real estate, nonprofit and other industries
- Collaborate closely with firm partners and senior professionals
- Use accounting and tax software, including QuickBooks and UltraTax
- Take ownership of client relationships and contribute to the firm's continued growth
- Develop your technical and client-facing skills through hands-on mentorship
What's needed?
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or a related field
- Public accounting tax experience
- CPA eligible or actively pursuing a CPA license
- Strong accounting fundamentals and knowledge of tax concepts
- Experience with individual, partnership, S-Corp, corporate, trust or estate returns
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a small-office environment
- Coachable, proactive personality with an interest in long-term growth
