Key Responsibilities

• The Lead Hostess is responsible for supervising the team of hosts and managing the table assignment process.
• This role requires strong organizational skills, impeccable attention to detail, and a commitment to creating a warm and welcoming environment for all guests.
• Welcome guests warmly and accompany them to their tables.
• Manage the reservation system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in table assignment.
• Address guest inquiries, requests, and special preferences.
• Supervise and train the team of hosts in guest interaction, table assignment procedures, and service standards.
• Motivate and support the team to deliver exceptional service.
• Maintain the host station orderly and organized.
• Monitor the flow of the dining area and anticipate guest needs to ensure a seamless experience.
• Collaborate with waiters, kitchen staff, and management to coordinate table turnover and optimize service efficiency.
• Resolve guest issues and complaints courteously and effectively.
• Collect guest feedback and communicate it to management for continuous improvement.
• Meet restaurant standards for excellence in service and hospitality.
• Assist with administrative tasks, such as reservation management, guest profile updates, and table assignment reports.
• Follow all company policies and safety procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
• Foster and maintain positive working relationships with others, supporting the team to achieve common goals.
• Ensure compliance with standards and expectations of quality.
• Ensure that the uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, as well as maintaining the confidentiality of company information.
• Perform other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications

• Hospitality oriented.
• Previous experience as a host/hostess in a high-level restaurant. Minimum 2 years.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask.
• Solid knowledge in programs and/or systems (Microsoft Office, OpenTable, etc.).
• Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Fully bilingual (English/Spanish).
