Diesel Mechanic

Job Description We are looking to hire a reliable and talented person to join our team as a Diesel Mechanic. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, possess strong organizational skills, be self‑motivated, and be dependable. This person must also be comfortable working on multiple projects at once; enjoy challenging tasks and be able to handle changing priorities. Job Duties Preparing work orders and communicating with service advisors Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks Inspecting vehicle systems, including suspensions, steering, and exhausts Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown Test driving repaired vehicles to gauge their performance Maintaining records of parts inventory and serviced vehicles Other duties as assigned Qualifications Must have at least one year of verifiable employment Experience working in a busy, fast-paced environment Mechanic experience is preferred but not required Heavy‑duty truck experience is a plus Experience in Customer Service Communication skills Job Details Full-time position, Swing shift: 3:00 PM – 11:30 PM, Monday‑Saturday. Non‑exempt position. Pay Scale Apprentice: $20.00 – $27.00 Tech I: $27.00 – $31.00 Tech II: $31.00 – $36.00 Tech III: $36.00 – $40.00 Tech IV: $40.00 – $45.00 Swing shift receives $2.00/Hour Shift Differential.
