Vascular Ultrasound Tech II- Per Diem, Morristown NJ

Responsibilities Perform comprehensive ultrasound examinations, including Verify protocols, image acquisition, and reporting. Ensure patient identity, education, cooperation, and safety. Complete clerical recording of all testing data. Report critical results promptly per policy. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other center personnel Maintain a pleasant, informative manner. Recommend related duties, policies, and procedures to the supervisor. Promote teamwork and continuous improvement Show motivation, accountability, and problem‑solving skills. Seek guidance when needed and accept suggestions constructively. Mentor and develop others. Maintain a clean and orderly laboratory environment Clean patient areas after each use. Report stocking needs, equipment issues, and perform lab opening/closing. Clean and maintain equipment in compliance with infection control policies. Identify learning needs and pursue professional development Attend in‑services, lab, and departmental meetings. Suggest new, efficient, or economical techniques and procedures. Perform vascular duplex examinations (venous or arterial duplex, vein mapping, ±radial access) Adhere to protocols for safe and accurate imaging. Record and report findings with a focus on patient safety. Qualifications Registry through CCI or ARDMS. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. Echo Sonographer II qualification, including skills in Sonographer Level 1+, strain, basic 3‑D, and stress echo. Vascular Tech II qualification, with experience in venous insufficiency, arterial duplex, and vein mapping (radial ±). RVT or RVS certification for vascular technologists. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Basic proficiency with computer systems.
