School Social Worker - Transition Program Howell, MI School Social Worker (Transition Program) Location: Howell, MI Caseload: 18-26 year olds Start Date: 26-27 School Year About the Opportunity: AnthroMed Education is looking for a dedicated School Social Worker to join our team in Howell, MI. This is a full-time position for the 2026-2027 school year. As a School Social Worker with AnthroMed, you’ll join a dynamic, collaborative team that values student success, personal growth, and professional development. Caseload and Environment: Targeted Caseload: 18-26 year olds across two buildings Focus: Supporting students across a variety of needs as they work to transition into the work force and community as independently as possible. There will be less of a focus on academic goals, and more of a focus on functional and independent living goals. Dedicated Space: You will have a private, dedicated office space each in building to conduct sessions and meetings. Responsibilities: Provide direct and indirect social work services to students in need of emotional, behavioral, and social support. Support and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team including teachers. SLPs, OTs, and job coaches. Facilitate small group and individual sessions. Lead and support the implementation of BIPS and FBAs. Participate in IEP and 504 Plan meetings to advocate for student needs and focus on transitioning after special education services. Support students and families in accessing community resources. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. Michigan School Social Work Certification (Required) Experience working with school-aged children is preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
