CNC Setup Operator II – Direct Hire Opportunity

  Temporary Location: West Chicago, IL (through mid-to-late August)

  Permanent Location: Northbrook, IL

  Pay: $27–$35/hour, based on experience

  Direct Hire – Full-Time Position

Shifts Available:

• 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
• 2nd Shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
• 3rd Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM

We are seeking an experienced CNC Setup Operator II to join our team. This direct-hire role is responsible for setting up complex CNC jobs, supporting production, performing tool changes and machine changeovers, conducting quality inspections, and driving process improvements.

Qualifications:

• 8–10 years of CNC setup experience
• Experience with multi-axis CNC lathes, Swiss-type machines, and machining centers
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
• Strong understanding of tooling, machine controls, and quality inspection processes
• CAM programming experience preferred
• Strong troubleshooting skills and reliable attendance

Responsibilities:

• Set up complex CNC jobs from start to finish
• Perform tool changes and machine changeovers
• Conduct first article and quality inspections
• Make minor program edits and optimize machining processes
• Mentor operators and support continuous improvement efforts
