Job Overview Materion’s Brewster, NY facility is seeking a trusted, value‑add Human Resources Manager to manage high‑impact HR functions in a high‑growth environment with approximately 80 employees. The role reports to the HR Director and works closely with the Brewster leadership team, workforce, and HR colleagues across the organization. Responsibilities Serve as HR business partner to the Brewster Leadership Team. Deploy HR processes and initiatives to support business objectives, including compensation, performance management, staffing, workforce development, employee relations, and succession planning. Build positive relationships across all levels; act as a trusted advisor to business leaders and employees, providing coaching and direction in HR‑related matters. Participate in HR continuous improvement initiatives at the local and global level. Keep abreast of employment law changes and trends that impact the business. Lead continued U.S. Apprenticeship program development and expansion across multiple businesses and sites, ensuring program compliance. Manage all career ladders (EM, PM, and Technical) and execute career ladder roadmap. Operationalize succession plans and implement talent activities such as stay interviews, talent reviews, and calibrations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree. Minimum of five years of HR experience in a manufacturing environment. Minimum of two years of supervisory experience or leading projects or teams. Experience in a collaborative, matrixed environment with a track record of achieving results. IT savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment. Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations. Strong team player who enjoys interaction with people at all levels. Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal—demonstrated ability to interface with employees at all levels and communicate through multiple channels. Excellent interpersonal skills; works with minimum supervision, takes initiative, and proactively seeks areas for improvement. Strong relationship building and collaboration skills. Ability to work cross‑functionally and cross‑businesses. Strong project management skills. Salary and Benefits Pay Range: $101,500.00 – $162,100.00. Actual base salary offered varies based on factors including skill, experience, education, peer salary, performance, and geographic location. Eligibility The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce (EAR).
